For 21 years, I have been a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. However, the practice of Ian Stuart Gibson is entirely independent. I am not an Associate of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, an essential distinction between a Member and a Fellow. An Associate is the lowest form of this high-level qualification and is in no way comparable to a fellow or a member.
I work entirely independently with the benefit of comprehensive PI cover, and I am beholden to no one other than my direct clients. All valuations are undertaken in accordance with the RICS Appraisal and Valuation Standards Manual, The Red Book.
